Závěr této práce tvoří interpretace výsledků výzkumu a doporučení do budoucna.
Anotace v angličtině
This thesis concentrates on Dove brand and the Campaign for Real Beauty. The purpose of this thesis is to investigate the effectiveness of Dove in terms of branding and the 'ideal beauty' stereotype, as well as the relation of Dove to the contradictory Axe brand and to contrast the Dove Campaign with misleading advertising. The thesis is divided into two parts. Firstly, the theoretical part defines terms connected to marketing and focuses on advertising, especially misleading advertising, the ethics of advertising and stereotypes used in mass media. The practical part uses principles from the theoretical part such as criteria for the analyses of deception in advertising and terms connected to branding in general which are then analysed in the results of the qualitative research. The thesis ends with the interpretation of research results and with future recommendations.

Záznam průběhu obhajoby
The student presented her thesis.
Q, review: What stereotypes can you found in Dove campaigns? A: The Dove are non-stereotypical ones, they are against it. Objectively, if some campaign refers to ideal beauty, they still show the stereotype.
Q, review: How do you perceive the brand as a consumer? A: Positively. However, when I did the thesis I tried not to be biased.
Q, review: Were any of the research findings surprising to the author? A: Two. Only three women said that the connection between Axe and Dove would influence their opinion. And the overweight factor.
Q, review: Can the author clarify the statement that ''as discovered from the analyses, Dove as a brand does not represent deceptive advertising‘‘ (p. 55)? This statement can be doubted as the author analyzed only one of Dove’s advertisements and found one deceptive practice (false comparisons) in it. Does the author think that if an advertisement contains one of the deceptive practices listed by Arens, Schaefer and Weigold, it can be labelled deceptive as a whole? A: I'm aware that this cannot be generalized, but in the thesis I was focusing only on the advertisements that were deceptive.
Q, Nemčoková: You said that Dove used Photoshop sometimes and Maybelline a lot. How can you judge that a picture was photoshopped? A: I relied on sources, the ASA.
Q, Pilík: Who were the respondents of your qualitative researches? A: Women, according to age.
Q, Bell: (Referring to the equality campaign and the opinion in the US) What do you think about the multi-cultural turn? Is it a deception, too? A: To be honest I think it's not deceptive. I think that can happen.
Q, Bell: How does Dove advertise in Arab or South Asian countries? Do they ignore the markets altogether? A: I don't really know, but it's an interesting fact.
