Q: The thesis supposedly studies Czechs and Slovaks as au-pairs but their comparison seems not to be a part of the thesis.
Could you draw any comparison as to what differences there are in terms of your research questions between Czechs and Slovaks as au-pairs?
A: It was not intention to compare or differentiate Slovaks and Czechs.
Q: What is the difference between quantitative and qualitative research methods?
Which type of research was applied in your thesis?
A: Quantitative research examines larger group of respondents to prove or disapprove the point. That is what I used.
Q: p36, pie chart: what nationality was your host family. Some are Indian, South Africans. How did this affect your research?
A: I did not analyze this.
Q: Q.13 in your BT, seems writing skills improved a lot. How and why? Usually it is the other way around.
A: We can only assume the explanation for this.
Q: What kinds of text did the au-pairs read and write?
A: I did not analyze that. The most important improvement was speaking and listening.
