The bachelor thesis is focused on the issue of the interaction of temperature with the breakthrough resistance of cylindrical inserts. The theoretical part defines mechanical barrier systems with a focus on cylindrical inserts, breakthrough resistance and an analysis of the fundamental thermal and mechanical effects on locking systems in terms of protection provided.
In the practical part, 3 types of cylindrical inserts were measured at different temperatures and then the influence of temperature on the force and deformation at the breakthrough was evaluated.
