Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá profilem úspěšného manažera malých a středních firem Olomouckého kraje. V teoretické části jsou definovány pojmy, které s tématem souvisí a také teorie týkající se manažerů. Praktická část je zaměřená na výzkum, který byl zpracován na základě rozhovorů. Cílem výzkumu je odpovědět na otázky, jak vypadá profil úspěšného manažera Olomouckého kraje a zda úspěšné manažery motivují peníze.

The bachelor thesis deals with the profile of a successful manager in small and medium-sized companies in the Olomouc region. The theoretical part defines terms related to the topic, as well as the theory regarding managers. The practical part is focused on the research which was prepared based on interviews. The aim of the research is to answer the question of how the profile of a successful manager in the Olomouc region looks like and whether money motivates successful managers.

Q, review: What are the strengths of successful managers? Based on what is their success in the professional field? A: Strengths: flexible, decisive, knowledge of their work; self-education, hard-working, developing in the field, flexibility, to take care of their employees because that's important. Q, Fonfárová: How can we measure the success of managers? A: Maybe with the success of the company, the profit. Q, Bell: Did you study the profit of the companies? A: Not the revenues, but I know they have profit. I asked them. Q, Bell: Any evidence? A: No, they just said they have profit, they are not in red numbers. Q, Pilík: So a successful manager creates a profit? A: Yes. And they develop. Q, review: Could the author assess how well the university education she has achieved covers the managers’ skills and knowledge? A: I gained a lot of experience here, for example I learned how to plan and how to lead a team. I was the leader of a project here. I improved my presentations skills. And I improved my English. Q, review: As the author states in the thesis, surveyed managers should improve their language skills. Would the author suggest any other ways how to achieve this apart from attending language courses? A: Yes, they can go to internships, also read books and self-study. Also private visits abroad to improve mainly English. Q, Pálka: Measuring of the prosperity of a company. What do you think is the most important indicator? What should it be? What is your opinion? A: According to the money they invest, they will make profit. Also that it moves somewhere. Market share, new customers. Q, Bell: What do you mean by the knowledge in the field? A: (The student explains well.) Q, Bell: What do you think about the fact that the majority of your sample didn't have any university education? A: I don't think it's needed. It depends on the characteristics of each of us. Q, Bell: So MBA is not necessary? A: Well it might help them if they want to work abroad, but it's not the key. Bell: The key feature is? A: Self-educate, get better, take care of the satisfaction of the employees. Q, Pálka: Can you explain the difference between a successful manager in Olomouc and Zlín region? In general. A: I don't think there are differences. Q, Pálka: So why Olomouc region? A: I just wanted to explain only the profile of a manager, but they gave me the title back to specify. I want to move there so I chose Olomouc.
