The purpose of this Bachelor thesis was study of the surface energy of composite particles and influence of the surface energy of prepared composites particles on the long-term stabil-ity of magnetorheological suspensions. The dependence between the surface energy and the wetting contact angle for different types of surfaces have been described. The meaning of magnetorheological suspensions together with comprehensive introduction into their prob-lematics have been explained. The experimental part contains the modification of carbonyl iron particles surface with various kinds of polysiloxanes, then the measurement of their surface energy as well as other differences between modified and pure particles from various points of views. At the end of the practical part the magnetorheological suspensions of dif-ferently modified particles were prepared and subsequently analyzed in appropriate level of testing.
