Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá charakteristikou prvků vyprávění, obsažených v mediálních článcích britského deníku The Telegraph. Práce se skládá z teoretické a praktické části. Teoretická část obsahuje vybrané teorie vyprávění, charakteristiku žurnalistiky a její vývoj, dále pak metodiku kritická analýzy diskurzu, její cíle a postupy během analýzy novinových článků. Praktická část obsahuje analýzu titulků, podtitulků a fotografií vybraných článků z britského deníku The Telegraph.

This bachelor thesis deals with the characteristics of narrative features contained within the articles of British daily newspapers The Telegraph. The thesis consists from a theoretical part and a practical part. The theoretical part includes selected narrative theories, a characteristic of journalism and its evolution, the methodology of critical discourse analysis and its aims and procedures while analyzing newspapers. The practical part involves an analysis of headlines, decks and photographs of selected articles from the British daily newspaper The Telegraph.
